Appointments are optional but encouraged. Make appointments for the Manuscript Reading Room here:

We encourage appointments at least 24 hours in advance, but walk in appointments are welcome. We reserve a small number of seats for optional appointments. If the optional appointments are all booked, researchers may still use the Reading Room as walk-ins.
